There are many exciting upcoming events this weekend, far too many to list.  However, we here at Big Easy magazine would like to touch on  two that are prominent and unique not only to this weekend, but to New Orleans!

Firstly:  The World Naked Bike Ride, New Orleans takes place this Saturday June 9, 2018!  This event begins in the late afternoon Saturday.  It is open to all and there is no fee to participate!  Riders should meet at Markey Park at 4pm in order to prepare (don’t forget to wear sunscreen)!  The ride will run through the Bywater and into the French Quarter.  Bourbon Street will not be a part of the ride, rather riders will pedal along mainly on Decatur Street, Burgundy Street and Royal Street. Riders are welcome to be nude, or only semi-nude.  If you are adventurous, happen to be free Saturday afternoon and enjoy bicycling, check out this naked bike ride.  You will not be sorry you did!

Another notable event happening this weekend also occurs on Saturday June 9th!  This is the New Orleans Pride Parade!  It begins at 7:30 PM in the French Quarter and is free and open to all to attend.  If you wish to be an active part of the parade and march in it rather than a spectator, click on this registration link!

There are many other exciting pride weekend events going on in the city this weekend.  For a comprehensive list be sure to visit our friends over at Neworleans.comHere!

Whatever you end up doing this weekend, bring the sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and in a world where you can be anything, be kind!
