Despite the heat, there are many events worth checking out this weekend in our great city. Although we can’t list them all here, we do have a few suggestions on what to do this weekend of June 29th – July 1st in New Orleans.

There are movies, like the cute looking musical Hearts Beat Loud at AMC Elmwood or the spiritually curious and mysterious First Reformed at The Broad. A revival of The Yellow Submarine will be coming to Prytania and Broad in July, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for that. FilmTopia, a new series/fest, will hit Prytania too.

There is music, like Marty Peters and The Party Meters tonight at 21st Amendment and The Iguanas at d.b.a. on Sunday. Of course, drink and rock out responsibly. And next week is Essence Fest, which we’ll be writing about more!

There is also online publishing, too. This Sunday, we at Big Easy Magazine release our 2nd Edition of articles and videos on and about New Orleans! Bookmark us and share all around!

Whatever you end up doing this weekend, don’t forget to keep on drinking water! Be kind! Be New Orleans! Lastly, don’t forget to check out our things to do in New Orleans section on our website for many other good ideas on how to get the most out of your weekend.

Enjoy your free time!
