I wonder if you think of me
if you see my face at all
I wonder if I’m on your thoughts
a flash of color at night
I wonder if you hear my name, do you think of my laugh?
I wonder if you’ll miss me soon
if you’ll wonder where I am
I want to know if I’m unjust
if I picked up and moved too fast
I’d ask you what you thought of me
but I don’t think you’d even recall
my feathers on your window
my perch right on your bed
I don’t think you’d even bother to see my jesses still sitting by your door
I wanted you to take me out
Not for you to leave me out.
