The midterm election is here, and the decisions we make on November 6 will have lasting effects on our community, state, and country. Big Easy Magazine is hosting an Election Night watch party, Watching for Progress, and we invite you to join us. Starting at 7pm, we’ll gather to watch the results come in with a group of like-minded New Orleanians. Wine shop by day, Second Vine Wine is equipped with a tasting room, which will become Election Night headquarters for progressive New Orleans.
Some key questions we’ll be looking to have answered:
- Can Democrats reclaim the House of Representatives?
- Will Louisiana voters put an end to non-unanimous jury verdicts?
- Does Beto O’Rourke actually stand a chance at defeating Ted Cruz?
- Is the “Blue Wave” really going to happen?
