Kotex Tampons Recalled After Reports of Unravelling

The Kimberly-Clark Corporation is recalling its U by Kotex Sleek Tampons due to a defect. The company states that tampons have been reported to be unraveling when people remove them, potentially leaving material inside the body. A few reports of injury or illness have been made.

The recalled products were made between October 2016 and October 2018, and were distributed to stores during that same time frame.

The company has set up a webpage where you can check the lot number of your tampons to see if they are affected by the recall. If your product is included, stop using them immediately and contact Kimberly-Clark Customer Service at 1-888-255-3499.

Symptoms that can occur as a result of the defect include infection, nausea, swelling, and vomiting.
