Dr. Takeisha Davis, CEO of New Orleans East Hospital received national recognition on Monday. Dr. Davis was named by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “143 Women Leaders of Hospital and Health Systems to Know.”
According to the New Orleans Hospital East’s website, Dr. Davis is a New Orleans native who has spent the last decade serving at the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. There she held a variety of positions, including Medical Director and Assistant State Health Officer for the Office of Public Health, and Director of the Center for Community and Preventive Health.
Becker’s Hospital Review is a national publication geared toward high-level leaders of hospitals and health systems. Their content features news, legal guidance, and best practices advice for those at the forefront of the healthcare industry. According to their website, they have a readership of around 18,500 healthcare industry leaders each month.
