If you were wondering whether Drew Brees and the Saints have moved on from the infamous NFC Championship “no call” – they aren’t.
In a new commercial released by apparel company Untuckit, Brees trolls NFL referees during a cameo appearance. Near the end, a man wearing one of the company’s shirts walks by, and Brees comments, “At least someone made the right call.”
Untuckit founder Chris Riccobono explained that the quarterback and company were a perfect match for this commercial:
“We’ve always positioned Untuckit as the right call. In the aftermath of the Saints-Rams playoff game (where the now infamous no-call occurred), we saw a way to deliver our brand message that also allowed Drew to acknowledge what happened in a humorous way.
No, the Saints and their fans still aren’t “over it.”
