Five-Alarm French Quarter Fire at Conti & Bourbon Contained


The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) has now contained what ended up escalating to a 5-alarm fire at the intersection of Conti & Bourbon St.

The fire appeared to be at the Copper Monkey Grill located at 725 Conti St. It was originally reported as a 2-alarm fire, and escalated to a 5-alarm status before it was contained. The 700 block of Conti St. will remain closed through tomorrow.

It is unknown if anyone was inside at the time.
