Gillette has been killing it when it comes to inclusivity lately. First, they took on toxic masculinity. Then, they showed off their body positivity.
Now, the razor company is sharing the story of Samson Bonkebantu Brown’s first shave with his father.
“Thank you so much to Gillette for allowing me to share such an important moment in a man’s life with my father,” Brown commented. “I look forward to the great things you’re going to continue doing to encourage us all to be our best selves.”
In the video, Brown talks about his journey. “I always know I was different. I didn’t know that there was a term for the type of person that I was. I went into my transition just wanting to be happy.”

Throughout the video, Brown’s father encourages him.
At a time when transgender men and women, as well as others in the LGBTQ+ community, are facing increasing discrimination from the U.S. government, this video is a nice show of support, and a refreshing change.
