Antoine Pierce Pledges to Serve All Louisianans in the US Senate

Though mainstream media reports would have you believe that Senator Bill Cassidy is running virtually uncontested in the 2020 election, this simply isn’t true. Meet Antoine Pierce, Louisiana’s Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate.

It’s hard to imagine a man more passionate and earnest. Pierce has dedicated his life to serving the people of Louisiana, driven by a deep conviction in an individual’s ability to spark change and deep faith in his fellow Louisianans.

“I’m running for U.S. Senate because I have a heart for humanity,” Pierce says on his website. “Somewhere along the way in the height of hyperpartisanship, tribalism, and political polarization, we’ve lost our way and forgotten what’s most important. In this great tapestry of ethnicities, cultures, and beliefs in our world, there’s a single thread that ties us all: our humanity.”

Pierce supports a higher minimum wage, in strengthening, rather than weakening labor unions, continuing criminal justice reform, and expanding pre-K access across Louisiana. He aims to ensure that every person in the state – from the rural farmer to the inner-city single parent has access to healthcare. Pierce also wants to preserve individual freedoms, such as a woman’s right to choose, and an adult’s ability to use cannabis.
