Mind Coach NOLA Creates Opportunity During This Time ADHD Coaching is Expanding to New Levels

New Orleans, LA, April 20th, 2020 – Mind Coach NOLA is the leader of ADHD and Executive Function coaching in the Greater New Orleans area. Adela Baker, PCAC and founder of Mind Coach NOLA, was the first credentialed ADHD coach in the state. Adela Baker founded Mind Coach NOLA after recognizing the needs of our neurodiverse population. As of August 2019, Mind Coach NOLA is home to a total of 10 trained ADHD coaches ready to empower adults and students 15 years or older with skills to thrive in all areas of their lives. Our company provides professional development partnering with corporations and schools to cultivate success for individuals with ADHD, or “Turbo Thinkers,” as we call them. During these precarious times as a result of Coronavirus and COVID-19, Mind Coach NOLA has launched four new programs to help students, adults and parents continue to progress.

SUPPORT GROUPS

A free offer that allows people to engage with a community and turn to those connections and a coach to help adjust to the times and release stress.

ACCOUNTABILITY GROUPS

Our Accountability Groups meet once a week for 1.5 hours and are facilitated by an ADHD Coach. The group opens by everyone sharing what they are going to be working on and what their obstacles are. Then, together (but in the comfort of your own home), you tackle your project in 20 minute segments, bolstered by short progress check-ins. The group ends with a wrap-up and next steps discussion. No task is too small, too silly, or too insignificant. There is NO JUDGMENT!

GROUP COACHING

Today’s global pandemic makes it more important than ever to engage in thought provoking conversations that inspire an increase in personally meaningful productivity while pursuing a balanced lifestyle. This is an 8 week program with weekly 60 minute sessions. Regular individual and group accountability on private support channel between sessions.

MINI SESSIONS

In our new Mini Sessions, a coach will help you navigate these changes and provide guidance on adjusting to your new normal. This is all done online for just 30 minutes at a time, instead of our usual hour long sessions. Get daily accountability, encouragement, and follow-through with a smaller time commitment and lower price.

The global ADHD market size is expected to reach $24.9 billion by 2025. 1 in 20 adults in the US has ADHD, but fewer than 20% of them seek out treatment. This is most likely due to both cost, and lack of awareness of options, such as ADHD coaching. The “cost of illness” for a person with ADHD is on average $15,036 per year. This includes direct costs related to behaviors (excluding treatment expenses) and indirect costs related to caregiver strain. Individuals across the country and in the state of Louisiana need effective services, and we’re here to offer them. We have the potential to build something revolutionary—by educating the community on ADHD treatment options, providing access to coaching and education, and reducing the cost of illness. Plus, when people with ADHD find something they’re passionate about, they dedicate themselves harder than anyone else could even imagine. During these new times we’re determined to offer options at lower costs to help people effectively implement positive change in their life as we find a new normal.
