NEW ORLEANS, LA—As a new hurricane approaches, and a special session of the legislature is mired in political infighting, thousands of evacuees are still awaiting desperately needed aid more than a month after Hurricane Laura made landfall as the strongest hurricane in Louisiana history. Evacuees from southwest Louisiana will be addressing their situation and what they are calling for.
