The Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee will host a Kick Up Your Heels With The Candidates social on Friday, July 16, to mark the end of the three-day qualifying period for the fall municipal elections. Congressman Troy Carter will be the special guest.
The social will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Aloft Hotels WXYZ bar, 225 Baronne Street, in New Orleans. Free and open to the public, the event will offer a cash bar with Happy Hour prices.
All candidates who qualify for office along with all elected officials, media, consultants and others interested in becoming more involved with the Democratic Party are invited to attend.
The endorsement by OPCODE will be one of the most coveted in this falls election cycle, said Lisa Ray Diggs, OPDEC Chairperson. We look forward to the candidates coming out to meet the members of OPDEC.
