Ukrainians Denied Entry to US

As the war in Ukraine continues, many Ukrainians have been denied entry to the United States due to a Covid-19 policy made in 2020.

Title 42, a former US President Donald Trup-era health order, give border officials the authority to turn back asylum seekers at the border, which officials at the San Isidro border have been doing. The order gives officials the discretion to grant exemptions on a case-by-case basis.

American Journalist Killed in Ukraine

Brent Renaud, an award-winning American filmmaker and journalist, was killed in Ukraine Sunday while reporting in a Kyiv suburb, according to Ukraine’s Interior Ministry. He was shot by Russian forces. Renaud was on assignment for Times Studio working on a project that focused on the global refugee crisis.
