Supreme Court Could Overturn Roe v. Wade
Politico obtained a draft of a majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that would likely overturn the historic holding of Roe v. Wade on federal constitutional rights to an abortion, marking the most consequential decision on women’s reproductive health in decades.
The Supreme Court has confirmed the authenticity of the leaked documents. The highest court however did not yet make a decision on the case, though it seems that five justices — Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett — would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

EU Announces Plan to Ban Russian Oil Imports
The European Union is proposing a ban on all oil imports from Russia by the end of 2022 as well as removing Sberbank, the country’s biggest bank, from SWIFT international payments network. This would be part of a sixth round of sanctions against Russia due to its invasion into Ukraine.
According to the European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, crude oil supply would be phased out within six months and refined oil products would follow suit by the end of the year.

Garth Brooks Concert Causes Earthquake in Lousiana

This is the second time in three decades that an event at the stadium caused such a disturbance.
