CDC Recommends Pfizer Booster for 5- to 11-year-olds
The Center for Disease and Prevention announced Thursday that children ages 5 to 11 should get a booster dose of Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine. The third shot is to ensure that the elementary-age kids will stay healthy.
A booster shot is already recommended for everybody over the age of 12.

Monkeypox Outbreak: “Should not be a concern”
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are tracking recent clusters of monkeypox infections around the world, including seven potential cases within the United States. Monkeypox infections have also been recently identified in places including Canada, Great Britain, Italy, Northern Ireland, and Spain.
While the Depot Director of the Division of High Consequence Pathogens and Pathology within the CDC’s National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases called the situation “very unusual,” Jennifer McQuiston also added that the general public should currently not be concerned for being at immediate risk for monkeypox.

Boeing Successfully Launches Starliner Spacecraft
Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft successfully launched into orbit and it is officially on its way to the International Space Station. This takes place after two and a half years of delays and failures.
If all goes correctly, Starliner will dock within the Space Station on Friday evening and spend four to five days attached to the lab before returning to Earth for a parachute-aided landing.
