Deadly Shooting at Texas Elementary School

At least 19 children and two adults were killed in a school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas Tuesday after 18-year-old Salvador Ramos conducted what Governor Greg Abbott called a “senseless crime.”

The suspect is dead.

President Biden Demands for Action Around Gun Control

United States President Joe Biden addressed the nation after the shooting at a Texas elementary school Tuesday, demanding action but not specifically calling for a vote or new policy.

“I am sick and tired of it. We have to act. And don’t tell me we can’t have an impact on this carnage,” The President said. “When in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby?”

Tillis Warns Of Impeding on Second Amendment

Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) warns Democrats of having a “reflexive reaction” in the wake of the Texas shooting Tuesday, stating that by trying to pass laws around gun control now it could impinge on the Second Amendment rights. He said that he doesn’t think that gun control is a part of the solution.
