House Votes to Restore Abortion Rights
The US House voted 219-210 to restore abortion rights nationwide, in response to the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade.
The bill now must pass Senate, although many are pessimistic of its chances in the 50-50 governing body. The House also passed a second bill to prohibit punishment for a woman who decides to travel to another state to receive an abortion.

Secret Service Deleted Jan 6 Text Messages After Request For Them
The Secret Service erased text messages from January 5 and 6, 2021 according to a letter given to the January 6 Committee sent by the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General to the House and Senate homeland security committees.
The Secret Service maintains that the messages were deleted as a result of a “device-replacement program.”

Louisiana Judge Temporarily Blocks State From Enforcing Abortion Ban
For the second time, Louisiana authorities have ben blocked from enforcing a near total ban on abortions, after a judge’s order released Tuesday.
Lawyers for a northern Louisiana clinic and other supporters of abortion rights are pursuing a lawsuit. Attorney General Jeff Landry criticized the ruling in a series of tweets.
