Threat of Rail Strike Rising Again

Rank and file members of a second rail union have rejected a tentative labor deal made between union leaders and rail companies in September, further raising the odds that rail workers will strike next month. So far The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees District have rejected the deal, in part because of a lack of sick days included in the deal.

Mark Meadows Ordered to Testify

Former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has been ordered to appear before an Atlanta-area grand jury in the 2020 election tampering investigation.

“I am going to find that the witness is material and necessary to the investigation and that the state of Georgia is assuring not to cause undue hardship to him,” Judge Edward Miller ruled on Wednesday.

Lawsuit Filed to Stop Voter Intimidation in Arizona

The Arizona chapter of the League of Women Voters has filed a federal lawsuit in the hope of preventing vigilante groups from engaging in voter intimidation. According to the lawsuit, six groups – including two related to the Oath Keepers – coordinated in an effort they called “Operation Drop Box” to intimidate voters.
