Allowing higher admissions would drastically increase area pollution, endanger residents
CAMERON, LA – Residents, local fishermen, and advocates will attend a public hearing on Tuesday, August 20 hosted by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) and oppose Venture Global’s requested air permit increases for its liquified natural gas (LNG) facility, Calcasieu Pass (CP). Granting the permit increases would transform Venture Global’s repeated permit violations into compliance, allowing the facility to evade health and safety protections and continue emitting harmful pollutants. Prior to the public hearing, attendees will hold a press conference to share updates and answer questions.
