The 44th Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Andrew Pete Sanchez & Copelin—Byrd Multi-Service Center in the Gymnasium Area, located at 1616 Fats Domino Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana from 10:00 A.M. until Noon.
The primary objective of the Senior Voters Caucus Annual Meeting is to discuss the issues affecting the elderly population in the metropolitan New Orleans area. The Senior Voters Caucus is a forum for candidates to discuss their political platform, and any policies and proposals that may affect senior citizens, if elected to public office. Additionally, older adults will have the opportunity to engage with political candidates. The organization has a membership of over 500 seniors throughout metropolitan New Orleans.
We will have candidates for positions ranging from U.S. House of Representatives to School Board, who will present to 300 Older Americans their qualifications. The central theme of this event is for the candidates to describe how seniors will benefit if they are elected.
