Sober Fest, the alcohol-free music festival hosted by Bridge House/Grace House, will return for its third year on November 23, 2024, at The Sugar Mill. The family-friendly event, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature an exciting lineup of local artists, including Ivan Neville & Friends, Anders Osborne, Jason Ricci & The Bad Kind, and the Trombone Shorty Academy.
Since its inception in 2022, Sober Fest has aimed to provide a lively, supportive environment for those in recovery and families looking for a fun, alcohol-free event. “In a city known for parties and music, we are thrilled that we have been able to provide an environment where you can still have fun without the need for alcohol,” said Kevin Gardere, CEO of Bridge House/Grace House, which organizes the festival.
Bridge House/Grace House is a nonprofit organization committed to helping individuals battling substance abuse. Operating two residential facilities—Bridge House for men and Grace House for women—the organization offers a community-based program that welcomes anyone who meets its admissions criteria and chooses to enter its treatment program. Proceeds from Sober Fest directly support the nonprofit’s mission to provide resources and support to individuals on their path to recovery.
In addition to live music, Sober Fest will offer a variety of food options from local vendors and food trucks, along with non-alcoholic beverages. A dedicated kids area will make it an ideal outing for families, allowing attendees of all ages to enjoy the festival’s vibrant atmosphere.
“Since its establishment, Sober Fest has provided a safe space for those in recovery to enjoy the vibrancy of our beautiful city,” Gardere added. “It’s a great way to show New Orleans that you don’t have to fight alone. There are organizations like Bridge House/Grace House ready to provide the resources and support you need.”
Tickets for Sober Fest are available for $10 in advance and $20 at the gate, with free admission for children under 12 accompanied by an adult. For more information on Sober Fest or Bridge House/Grace House’s programs, visit their website.
