A Sicilian Culinary Experience

At the heart of Pulcinella! is Executive Chef Matty Hayes, who has artfully combined his Sicilian heritage with family recipes and the vibrant Italian American culture of New Orleans. By sourcing the finest local ingredients, Hayes has crafted a menu that celebrates traditional Italian flavors with a modern twist. Signature dishes include:

  • Oyster and Artichoke Soup
  • Red Gravy Meatballs with Whipped Ricotta
  • Seafood Cannelloni
  • Cavatelli alla Norma
  • Eggplant Parmesan
  • Smoked Pork Steak with Creamed Broccoli Rabe

Kids are welcome at Pulcinella!, and the team is happy to accommodate requests for child-friendly dishes, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere.

The restaurant is open for dinner Thursday through Monday, with seatings from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. While walk-ins are welcome, reservations are recommended.

Original Nite Cap: Speakeasy Sophistication

Upstairs from Pulcinella!, guests can step into the Original Nite Cap Speakeasy, a cozy space that combines craft cocktails with curated performances. Spearheaded by well-known New Orleans burlesque performer Bella Blue, the speakeasy offers an intimate, vibrant setting for a nightcap after dinner. Bella, serving as the “Headmistress of Hospitality,” ensures every guest enjoys a welcoming and unforgettable experience.

A Collaborative Vision

Pulcinella! and Original Nite Cap are a labor of love, brought to life by Bella Blue, her husband Andy Principe, friend J.D. Solomon, and Chef Matty Hayes. Together, they’ve transformed the space formerly occupied by the Green Room into a haven of culinary and cultural delight.

A Welcoming Addition to the 7th Ward

With its affordable prices, inviting ambiance, and top-tier food and drink offerings, Pulcinella! and Original Nite Cap are poised to become staples of the 7th Ward dining and nightlife scenes. Whether you’re savoring authentic Italian dishes downstairs or sipping on a craft cocktail upstairs, the experience is sure to leave a lasting impression.
