Children’s Hospital New Orleans has unveiled plans for its inaugural Louisiana Legacy fundraising event, a celebration marking the hospital’s 70 years of providing expert pediatric care to Louisiana’s children. The event, set for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, will also pay tribute to the Manning family—notably Olivia and Archie Manning—for their significant contributions to children and families throughout the state and beyond.

The Louisiana Legacy event will bring together two cornerstones of the community: the renowned Children’s Hospital and the Manning family’s enduring legacy of service. Co-chairs Darryl and Louellen Berger, along with Danielle and Deuce McAllister, will host the special evening at the Louisiana NOW Pavilion, a venue championed by Governor Jeff Landry and Louisiana Economic Development in connection with the 2025 Super Bowl festivities.

“The Mannings’ enduring legacy of service and compassion has left a profound impact on our community,” said event Co-Chair Darryl Berger. “To have an evening that pulls both of these pillars of our community together for a great cause will be a remarkable moment.”

The evening will feature a patron party for sponsors and supporters from 6-7 p.m., followed by the main event. Attendees will enjoy a fireside chat with the Manning family, live musical entertainment by Amanda Shaw and Rockin’ Dopsie Jr., and gourmet cuisine paired with cocktails.

Children’s Hospital New Orleans President and CEO Lucio A. Fragoso emphasized the importance of the evening’s mission: “We are proud to honor the Manning family for their steadfast dedication to uplifting communities. Louisiana Legacy will be a celebration you won’t want to miss, supporting two steadfast Louisiana Legacies – the Manning family, and Children’s Hospital New Orleans.”

Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Children’s Hospital New Orleans is Louisiana’s only freestanding, comprehensive pediatric medical center. The nonprofit hospital boasts 263 beds, over 700 pediatric-trained providers, and 3,000 employees dedicated to the care of children regardless of a family’s financial status. The hospital operates more than 30 satellite locations and serves communities across Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
