The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) Culinary Arts students and faculty have unveiled their much-anticipated 2025 King Cake program, offering a delicious lineup of traditional and limited-edition king cakes. This year’s selection features two classic options and a series of rotating specialty flavors, all crafted by NOCCA Culinary Arts students and faculty.

King cakes, starting at $25, are available for pre-order now at NOCCAMarketplace.com, with U.S. shipping available. Proceeds support NOCCA’s Culinary Arts department, helping to cultivate Louisiana’s next generation of chefs.

Local Pick-Up and Discounts
NOCCA King Cakes will be available for local pick-up from January 6 to March 2, 2025, at NOCCA and select retailers, including King Cake Hub. Early birds can enjoy a 10% discount by pre-ordering by December 20 using promo code EARLYBIRD25.

“Making king cakes provides a great opportunity for our Culinary Arts students to improve their baking skills, dream up new recipes, and learn what it takes to make a business successful,” said NOCCA’s Culinary Arts chair Chef Dana D’Anzi Tuohy. “This program is a true team effort, and the proceeds go right back into our Culinary Arts department. It’s a win-win-win!”

2025 King Cake Menu Highlights

  • Gluten-Free Cinnamon: A classic New Orleans favorite, made gluten-free with a soft, cinnamon-infused dough, vanilla glaze, and shimmering edible glitter.
  • Satsuma Almond: A citrusy, sweet combination of Louisiana satsumas and rich almond paste braided in brioche-style dough, topped with a satsuma glaze and Carnival-colored glitter.
  • Limited Edition: Salted Caramel Apple (through January 26, 2025): Winter spiced apples, lightly sweetened cream cheese, and brioche dough glazed with salted caramel and topped with caramel bits and glitter.

Additional limited-edition flavors, including a Valentine’s Day special, will be announced later in the season.

A Sweet Collaboration with French Truck Coffee
This year, NOCCA’s Culinary Arts program has partnered with French Truck Coffee for their “Big Chief” Carnival blend. A portion of proceeds from each 12 oz. bag sold will be donated to the NOCCA Foundation. Customers who pair a Big Chief coffee purchase with a NOCCA King Cake (local pick-up only) will receive $1 off their order.
