In a surreal twist straight out of a horror flick, a Clown-masked burglar incident unfolded when a suspect in clown makeup broke into a business on the 2800 block of Frenchmen Street in the early morning hours of April 25, 2025. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the break-in occurred around 1:18 a.m., with surveillance footage capturing the suspect dressed in a small cheetah-print jacket, black hoodie, camouflage shirt, maroon sweatpants, and white-and-red Adidas sneakers—all while carrying a blue backpack and donning a grotesque clown face.
The suspect reportedly stole electronics before fleeing the scene. The NOPD is now asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual responsible for the Clown-masked burglar break-in, which has drawn widespread attention for its bizarre and brazen nature.
