Reconcile New Orleans Unveils New Brand and Vision in Celebration of 25 Years of Impact

After 25 years of transforming lives through workforce development and community engagement, Reconcile New Orleans is stepping into a bold new chapter. The beloved nonprofit, known for its flagship Café Reconcile in Central City, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, updated mission and vision, and a lineup of programs to celebrate its quarter-century legacy of service to New Orleans’ youth.

The rebrand marks a milestone in Reconcile’s evolution, reflecting both its rich history and forward-looking mission to innovate workforce training through transformative, community-rooted experiences.

“We’re proud to unveil a brand, mission, and vision that honors Reconcile’s history and signals a promising future for New Orleans’ young people,” said CEO Kheri Billy.

The new visual identity features a striking, modern logo that reflects the vibrancy and energy of the youth Reconcile serves. According to Billy, the design embodies “the forward momentum” of the organization’s work and the spirit of the community that sustains it.

Reconcile’s reimagined mission emphasizes innovation in workforce training, combining real-world experience in the café with confidence-building and personal development. The organization’s new vision statement is equally ambitious: “We are building a future where all young people have access and opportunity to reach their unique potential and become positive forces in our community.”

Guided by the acronym C.A.R.E.—Collaboration, Access, Respect, and Excellence—Reconcile’s updated values were shaped through a collaborative process involving interns, alumni, staff, board members, and supporters.

To mark this transformative moment, Reconcile has announced a series of celebratory events and projects:

  • SUNdays at Reconcile Family-Style Dinner Series (June 22, July 27, August 24): A three-part evening series celebrating community and conversation over shared meals, courtyard cocktails, and live music.

  • “25 Years of Growth Stories: The Potential Ahead”: A multimedia storytelling initiative honoring the voices of Reconcile founders, alumni, interns, and staff. The series will culminate in a commemorative digital release this fall.

  • “Does Your City Love You Back?” Podcast: A new three-part podcast hosted by CEO Kheri Billy and Chief Program Officer Monique Robinson that will feature changemakers discussing youth investment, equity, and what it means for a city to support its next generation.

“Reconcile opened its doors 25 years ago with a mission to transform the lives of New Orleans’ young people,” said Board Chair John J. Zollinger IV. “Today, that mission not only endures, but it continues to evolve.”

Since 1997, Reconcile New Orleans has provided job training, mentorship, and support to young people facing systemic barriers to success. Its flagship Café Reconcile remains a symbol of hope and progress—where food is served with purpose, and every meal supports a mission.
