The Friends of the New Orleans Public Library are taking their used book sales on the road, bringing children’s book bargains to the Robert Smith Branch in Lakeview on Saturday, November 15. The sale is open to the public from 10am until 4pm. Cash, cards, and Venmo are accepted.

The nonprofit is offering a wide selection of gently used children’s books according to Executive Director Shannan Cvitanovic. “This sale is a perfect opportunity to stock up on books for kids to enjoy over the upcoming holidays or to give as presents. All books are priced at $2, so a little bit of money can go a long way at this sale.”

Since 1957, the Friends have helped fund Library services, programs, and resources like the Summer Fun & Reading Challenge. All proceeds from the sale will benefit this work.

“We will have books for all ages, from board books for babies to chapter books for the bigger kids,” Cvitanovic says. “Whether your child is passionate about dinosaurs or interested in ancient history or just learning their letters, you’re sure to find a book at the sale.”
