Have you ever wanted to own your own fire truck? Or, are you looking for a great gift for an aspiring firefighter? Well, you’re in luck! St. George Fire Protection District in Baton Rouge, LA, is currently auctioning off a Doron Precision Systems Fire Truck Driving Simulator. It was originally purchased in 2012 for $202,000. The simulator is also perfect for a volunteer fire department! This online auction is open to the public at municibid.com and ends Monday, February 2nd. Louisiana residents are able to bid in this government auction online, 24/7, on Municibid.

Why is this auction important? All of the proceeds from this auction will go right back to the St. George Fire Protection District. These funds can be used to buy new water hoses, another vehicle, helmets, and other essentials that the fire department needs to fight fires and save the lives of those in dire situations.

Doron Precision Systems’ Fire Truck Driving Simulators deliver a highly realistic, scenario-based training solution designed to prepare firefighters for the demands of real-world emergency response. Built with advanced simulation technology and authentic vehicle controls, these systems allow crews to practice critical driving maneuvers, communication, and decision-making in a safe, controlled environment. From navigating congested city streets to coordinating multi-unit responses under pressure, Doron’s simulators improve operational readiness while reducing training costs, vehicle wear, and risk.
