Older adults are truly the soul of New Orleans—the keepers of its culture, traditions, and resilient spirit. Those aged 60 and older carry the stories, music, flavors, and sense of community that define the city’s identity. Their wisdom and lifelong contributions have shaped generations, preserving New Orleans’ rich heritage while guiding its future. The theme “Seniors are the Soul of the City: Challenge Your Health” celebrates this legacy while emphasizing prevention, wellness, and personal responsibility as keys to healthy aging—encouraging active health management, preventive care, and informed decision-making so seniors can continue to thrive.
