The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival returns to Lafayette Square Park (602 St. Charles Ave.) in New Orleans for its 17th edition on October 11-13, 2024.

Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials and Irma Thomas & the Professionals will headline the festival, which is presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, the nonprofit that owns Jazz Fest. Admission to the festival is free and open to the public.
The festival will be held on Friday, October 11 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and again on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 from 11:00am to 8:30pm.
The Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival is an award-winning event, featuring two stages of music, a large selection of the best barbecue vendors in the region and a local arts market.
Performers at the 2024 edition include Lil Ed & the Blues Imperials, Irma Thomas & the Professionals, Kenny Neal, Marcia Ball, Sue Foley, Nikki Hill, James Cotton Tribute with Mark Hummel & Steve Freund, Chris Thomas King, Eric Lindell, Little Freddie King, James Rivers Movement, Joe Krown +1 featuring Papa Mali, Sierra Green & the Giants, Mitch Woods & his Rocket 88s, Billy Iuso, Les Getrex & Creole Cookin, Sunpie Barnes & the Louisiana Sunspots.

After being on hiatus for several years, the oral history stage at Gallier Hall returns to the 2024 Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival! Featuring artist interviews in an intimate setting, interviews will be held indoors on the afternoons of Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. The Jazz & Heritage Foundation will again auction off a customized guitar by Painted Axe that will have the signatures of the festival’s performers from all three days. Funds from this auction will benefit the programs of the Jazz & Heritage Foundation including the music education initiatives in New Orleans.
