DESCRIPTION:Did you know your old electronics can help save wildlife? By re
 cycling your old devices\, you help reduce demand for these minerals and s
 upport conservation efforts.\n\nRecycle for a Cause: Cell Phone Saturdays 
 at Audubon Zoo\n\n\n\nDid you know your old electronics can help save wild
 life? Rare earth minerals used in the production of cell phones and small 
 electronics are found in limited locations around the world—including cr
 itical gorilla habitats. Mining for these minerals contributes to habitat 
 loss for already endangered gorilla populations.\n\nYou can make a differe
 nce.\n\nBy recycling your old devices\, you help reduce demand for these m
 inerals\, support conservation efforts\, and keep harmful electronics out 
 of landfills.\n\nOn select Saturdays this spring and summer\, Audubon Zoo 
 will host Cell Phone Saturdays\, a special event supporting the Gorillas
  on the Line recycling initiative.\n\nGuests who bring recyclable electro
 nics and donate near the gorillas habitat on these Saturdays will receive 
 either a collectible trading card or a small keepsake from the gorillas. W
 hile supplies last.\n\nFunds generated through device recycling will suppo
 rt gorilla conservation efforts.\n\nCell Phone Saturday Dates:\n\nAll Cell
  Phone Saturday activities take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and a
 re included with Zoo admission:\n\n- April 26\n\n- May 31\n\n- June 28\n\n
 - July 26\n\nSpecial Experiences:\n\nBonus Keeper Chats at 11:30 a.m. –
  During each chat\, guests will receive a limited-edition gorilla trading
  card. A new card will be released each month\, so visitors can collect th
 e full series!\n\nDon’t worry if you can’t make it on those dates—\n
 \nRecycling bins are available at the front gate of Audubon Zoo and near t
 he Gorilla exhibit from April through July. An additional recycling locati
 on is also available at Audubon Aquarium.\n\nWhat can be recycled?\n\n- We
  are accepting the following devices:\n\n- Cell phones and smartphones\n\n
 - iPads\, iPods\, and tablets\n\n- Apple/Android Watches\n\n- GPS\n\n- E-R
 eaders\n\n- Digital Cameras\n\n- MP3 players\n\n- Handheld gaming systems\
 n\n- Headphones\n\n- Electronic Accessories\n\nPlease note: Laptops canno
 t be accepted at this time.\n\nMake your visit count—help protect gorill
 as and reduce electronic waste with a simple\, meaningful action.\n\n\n
