DESCRIPTION:Join Richard McCabe\, Curator of Photography at Ogden Museum of
  Southern Art\, as he leads a tour of the current exhibition\, The Unendi
 ng Stream: Chapter I. The studio practice of six New Orleans photographers
  (Tiffany Smith\, Thom Bennett\, Brittany Markert\, Kevin Kline\, Trenity 
 Thomas and Jacob Mitchell) will be discussed.\n\nPhotographers Brittany Ma
 rkert\, Tiffany Smith\, Thom Bennett and Jacob Mitchell will be present to
  talk about their individual projects.\n\nFree and open to the community.\
 n\n\n\nAbout The Unending Stream: Chapter I\n\nThe Unending Stream: Chapt
 er I\, highlights New Orleans’ thriving photography community. The title
  of the exhibition pays homage to a Clarence John Laughlin photograph of t
 he same title\, which is a part of the permanent collection at Ogden Museu
 m of Southern Art. Laughlin’s seminal work\, created between the 1930s a
 nd 1950s\, is an important chapter in the long-storied relationship betwee
 n New Orleans and photography. Following in his visionary footsteps\, this
  exhibition focuses on contemporary New Orleans photographers who continue
  to capture the American South through visually poetic imagery.\n\nLearn m
