“Rollin’ for Reproductive Justice is our chance to get the community together in a fun, celebratory space while raising money for our reproductive justice program,” said Women With A Vision Executive Director Deon Haywood. “We live under these draconian laws that stand between us and our ability to do what we think is right with our bodies. And yet, we persist. We need nights like Rollin’ for Reproductive Justice to celebrate how we as a community continue to show up for each other regardless of the tomfoolery that has pregnant folks worried that their doctors won’t be able to provide lifesaving care, Louisianans terrified that they’ll end up in jail for attempting to secure an abortion, and medical providers scrambling to obey the law while providing care.”
