While many of those on Florida's coast had the necessary flood insurance to protect them from the damage done by Hurricane Ian, most of those in the central portion of the state did not. According to a statement issued by Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales, San Antonio Officer James Brennand is the officer who shot and killed a 17-year-old boy as he ate while sitting in a McDonald's parking lot. Russian President Vladimir Putin has described a Ukrainian attack that damaged the Kerch Bridge connecting Russia to Crimea as "a terrorist act" by Ukrainian special services.
